Chef Juvenal Rodriguez
Born and raised in Venezuela and having worked as a chef in Barcelona, Peru and Los Angeles, Chef Juvenal Rodriguez brings vibrant Latin flavors and a local and sustainable ethos to El Cid’s California contemporary Spanish cuisine.
Chef Juvenal comes to us from another neighborhood favorite, Elf Cafe. Prior to coming to the States, he was chef at the Barcelona tapas restaurant, Oasis de Tapas, and at Quatro Palos in Peru. Although his culinary background leans heavily on the vegetarian, Chef Juvenal’s menu at El Cid highlights both meat and seafood-centric dishes, as well as new vegetarian and vegan offerings that even carnivores will love!
